ON TUESDAY 24/08/10, MARK DEIGHTON (A CROWSHEATH MEMBER ) MANAGED, AFTER A VALIANT FIGHT, TO REEL IN THIS AMAZING 72lbs CATFISH FROM OUR SPECIMEN LAKE. FISHING FROM THE BAILIFF’S SWIM MARK WAS OVER THE MOON WHEN HE FINALLY BROUGHT THIS BEAST TO THE BANK USING A MAIN LINE BOTTOM BAIT. MARK FISHED FOR A TOTAL OF 48HRS THAT ALSO INCLUDED 8 COMMONS RANGING FROM 9lbs TO 17lbs AND 1 MIRROR AT 12lbs. A MASSIVE CONGRATULATION’S TO MARK FROM ALL AT CROWSHEATH:)

KELVIN’S 31lbs COMMON

On Sunday 08/08/10 Kelvin, one of Crowsheath’s member’s, at the end of a successful 48 hour session which saw him reel in 8 fish in total, landed this magnificent common weighing in at 31lbs which i believe is his PB or should i say his wife’s PB because he was packing his gear away at the time of the run and it was his wife who actully struck it although it was kelvin who reeled it in, so we will give him this one LOL. Kelvin was using an anti blow back rig with a main line bait(not sure what kind) and was on swim 16 of our specimen lake. WELL DONE KELVIN FROM ALL AT CROWSHEATH.

WELL DONE DAN. THIS AMAZING CAT FISH WAS CAUGHT ON EITHER SWIM 15 OR 16, NOT SURE WHICH ONE, AT AROUND 11AM ON SATURDAY 12/06/2010. NOT SURE WHAT BAIT OR RIG BUT IF OR WHEN WE FIND OUT THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED. AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS DANNY BOY

Hi Guys.

Fish was an 82lb Catfish caught on the 1st of November 2009 after a wind swept 24hr session. Fishing pegs 1 & 2 with a friend i had the fish from peg 2 about 2ft off of the island on a single hook bait. Took around 20mins or so to land it and I was sweating a little as I only had 12lb line!

We are both members and can’t wait to get back over there again once the weather improves. Nev mentioned I should send you the pics and report as we think its the 2nd biggest fish in the lake and it was highly unusual to catch a Cat

Alex Dimond sent in this catch , it weighed 32lb exactly and was caught on 22nd June at 1am.
